Mat and Letter System

Alphabates mats

A fun way of learning!

The Alphabet Mat and Letter system aids in letter recognition, the pronunciation of letters applied in reading and spelling, the order of the alphabet, and the proper way of enunciating letters.

Mathematics

Not just letters, but numbers too

MATH-MATics is a fun easy way to introduce and develop math skills in children – they are a hands-on, multisensory, fun way to teach the math skills that students need to progress with their learning journey.

Calender

Provide a structured way for children to learn – with the help of the Mat and Letter system, children learn new concepts and skills in an entertaining and supportive way. Opportunities for practice and reinforcement become present upon the continuous use of the mats.

Lessons & Tips

Closed syllables

A closed syllable is a syllable that ends with a consonant. This means that the vowel sound in the syllable is short. For example, in the word “cat,” the first syllable “cat” is a closed syllable because it ends with a consonant “t” and the vowel “a” makes a short sound.

Here are some more examples of closed syllables:
“pat” “chip” “hug” “Step”

Counting with MATH-Matics

Counting is a way of saying the numbers in order. When we count, we start at the number 1 and say each number in order after that. For example, we say “one, two, three, four, five,” and so on.

Counting helps us to keep track of how many of something there are. For example, if you have three apples, you can count them by saying “one, two, three” and you’ll know that you have three apples.
